AHCLA - A Unique Leadership Opportunity

The Asian Health Care Leaders Association (AHCLA) is a membership and leadership organization devoted to increasing the representation and professional development of Asian-Americans in healthcare executive management, policy, and administration. AHCLA programs in mentoring, networking, lifelong learning and career development are designed to serve individuals and organizations at all levels and across all disciplines of the healthcare field.

Since becoming a nonprofit organization in early 2009, AHCLA’s leadership has been committed to building upon the organization’s core values – Leadership and Professional Development; Improving Health Care Delivery; Advancing and Advocating Diversity; and Creating Unique Value for a Unique Community – and, when necessary, adapting them to meet the changing needs of its constituency. To that end, AHCLA offers the following programs and opportunities to its membership base:

  • Exclusive networking opportunities with AHCLA Board members and healthcare leaders from around the country at a number of industry events
  • The AHCLA National Conference, held immediately preceding the American Hospital Association’s annual Health Forum Leadership Summit and featuring a keynote address, panel discussions, breakout sessions and networking opportunities throughout the one-day event
  • Mentoring programs to promote personal career advancement
  • A webinar series focused on topics ranging from health care disparities to cultural competency to workforce enhancement
  • Targeted career opportunities with job postings exclusive to AHCLA members
  • Access to a network of professionals who are dedicated to increasing the representation and professional development of Asian-Americans in healthcare executive management, policy and administration

AHCLA membership is open to individuals at every phase of their career development: early career, mid-career and senior leadership. Become a member today! Contact Betsy Shea at bshea@learningstudio.biz for a membership application and further information on AHCLA member benefits.
